I made the above video with Explain Everything. The app allows you to make slide and video presentations as well as easily add voiceovers and annotations. Though this app was not as simple to pick up for me as others I've recently explored, it is an incredibly useful tool and becomes very easy to use with a little bit of practice.
By far, the most noteworthy feature of this app is its ability to record both voice and written notes simultaneously. By clicking the record button, I was able to speak and use my iPad to write out notes in the same way I would in person with a whiteboard.
The presentations are organized through slides (similar to a Powerpoint presentation, see the slide number on the bottom-left corner of the page?) and so this makes both audio and visual content organization easy.
Trimming recordings is just as easy as it is on Garage Band or another recorder. See the audio tracks on the above image? If you hold a finger on it, options pop-up as to what actions can be used on it. The red bar with the two pencils on it gives the user the opportunity to edit the visually recorded notes in the same way.
Users are able to use images and videos on the device for slides, as well as record new ones through the app as necessary.
Finally, the presentations can be exported in a variety of formats including YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, and Evernote on the spot. There is even an option to upload the full project and video to Explain Everything: Discover where users can access the video and an editable project format from the cloud.
